NCW President Mary Gaerty awarded Mara Award for Entrepreneurial Vision

The National Council of Women would like to congratulate NCW President Mary Gaerty, who received the Mara Award for Entrepreneurial Vision during the Mara Awards event organised on 6th March 2026.

Mara is an annual event that is organised by Dr Lydia Abela, spouse of the Prime Minister, to honour women in various fields and recognise their hard work, dedication and talents.

As the founder of her company, Mary Gaerty has been a true entrepreneur and leader, while also being instrumental in shaping Malta’s waste management. Mary has worked in the field of sustainable environment both locally and at European level.

The National Council of Women would like to congratulate all other winners for their respective awards in various fields. May their contributions and careers serve as an example for other women.
